"Secluded in the woods halfway between Montignac-Lascaux and Sarlat, Les Jardins du Manoir d'Eyrignac are considered the most beautiful French-style gardens of the Périgord.
The estate has been in the same family for 22 generations. The garden was designed in the 18th century, then converted into an English-style park before being restored to its original layout in the 20th century. This is one of the most beautiful examples of topiary art in all of France, with a unique collection of leafy sculptures in more than 300 shapes and 50,000 plants including yews, boxwood and hornbeams. The visitor's guide available at the reception desk, optional iPod rental and description panels which dot the circuit offer a self-guided stroll through the various garden areas: the boxwood labyrinth, the hornbeam promenade, and more. New in 2014: the garden of springs.
    "

The Gardens of Eyrignac with its flowers and greenery are the botanical jewel of the Périgord Noir, a peaceful haven close to Sarlat.
The French Garden surrounds the 17th century manor house, where the combination of perspectives and the mastery of nature set the scene for the boxwood arabesques, gushing fountains, water mirrors, lawns and a collection of plant sculptures hand-cut by the gardeners of Eyrignac.
A completely different, rural, intimate and colourful atmosphere prevails in the Jardin des Sources, the vegetable and flower gardens. The walk ends in the White Rose Garden, with its garlands of flowers and flowerbeds, offering a unique view over the Dordogne countryside.
With its 500-year family history, Eyrignac and its gardens welcome visitors all year round.
