Fossemagne - English

Vézère Périgord Noir

The lake with its restaurant has a supervised swimming pool with games for children, pédalos and fishing.

[occ] Fossa Manha

Fossemagne, in the Manoire valley, is located close to major tourist attractions, in a green and undulating setting.

Its old church with its four-bay gabled bell tower is impressive because of its 2 meter thick wall.

In Eugène Le ROY's famous novel, Jacquou le Croquant, the village plays an important role: Lina and Jacquou get married in the church of Fossemagne and poor Lina ends up drowning in the waterhole ("mare" in Occitan).

The 30 acres (12 hectares) leisure park, 25 km east of Périgueux on the RD 6089. It includes: football stadium, tennis, camping and a 15 acre lake.  Carp and roach will be caught by anglers; swimmers will appreciate the best-exposed shoreline where it is fun to play in the sun on a magnificent sandy beach. The gentle slope of the beach and the presence of a lifeguard allow everyone to swim in complete tranquillity. On site: a beach with a lifeguard, an aquatic area with water jets, a water slide, pedalo rentals, a playground, a shaded area for relaxation, a fitness trail, a walk around the lake and a delimited fishing area. Near the lake, the Manoire Campsite will be pleased to welcome you.
