[occ] Granges d'Ans

The village's name, meaning "the granaries of the Pays d'Ans", comes from the time when the Châtellenie d'Ans, which grouped together several estates, existed.

Discover here beautiful houses built from golden sandstone with pointed roofs combining brown tiles and slate, reminding you of the proximity of the Corrézian slate quarries; a rich architecture with manor houses and Périgourdine cottages, and around the corner you can see mullioned windows, beautiful railings, curious porches with sundials, Gothic doors, Calvaries, wash houses, and roof structures on Genoese tiles...
